What you'll be able to do

• Read any RTP packet field by field; explain V/P/X/CC, M, PT, sequence, timestamp, SSRC.
• Compute RTT and interarrival jitter from RTCP report blocks using the canonical formulas.
• Choose the right codec for a stated network condition; explain the G.722 SDP-clockrate quirk.
• Trace an RFC 4733 DTMF event end-to-end and diagnose the five common failure modes.
• Diagnose jitter-buffer behaviour from a PCAP and audible sample.
• Read an SRTP exchange and identify which of the three keying paradigms (SDES, DTLS-SRTP, MIKEY) is in use.
• Recognise an ICE/STUN/TURN exchange in a PCAP at the recognition-depth level required for everyday operations.
• Pass the SIP-201 portion of the CVP exam.
